Early this summer I talk my wife into a 1400 mile round trip to pick up 79 hawaiian. Ran this summer had a blast she hate's the boat. God I love it. Anyway, my friend Jim decides to rework his Avenger so trying to keep up I started on mine. Now we are having butt loads of winter fun! I should have known there was a price to pay for all that fun in the sun. check out the pic's any and all pointers are mucho appreciated.

Try plain old gasoline. Most vinyl type glue will disolve, or at least roll up with a scraper.........MP

Use Mineral spirits. I put new carpet in my 78 Callenger about a month ago and I got glue in some places I wish I didn't. To apply the carpet I used marine grade with outdoor carpet glue from Home Depot. Make sure you do use marine grade carpet, it has a solid black backing on it. Oh and don't make the same mistake I did and put one section on with the grane going the wrong way. Good luck and most of all Have FUN.

Ditto, just replaced the floor and carpet in the cockpit, rounded up - 8x6. Glue is a biatch....at least the first time. Prep well, that addage measure twice, cut once and lay up DRY first. I'm going to run it ugly and fix it next winter. I hope the kids aren't too embarassed. After all it is a learning thing.

Yea, Its Jim's fault, I could be in complete bliss jet boating on Lake Houston and visiting jet boat Jim while he puts his boat together. The acetone does not work that well. I want to flow coat the inside so I was concerned about useing gasoline.
