View Full Version : Need Pump swap info 12je to 12jc

I have a friend that has a 12je pump and we are looking to swap it with a 12jc that i have sitting in my shop is this a direct swap or will we need to change the intake also?

I believe you'll have to have an intake for the JC pump.... If I remember correctly, the JE & JF are "insert" pumps & their intakes are molded into the floor of whatever boat they're in. There was a thread on here not too long ago, with pics... Think the guy doing the work was JetHydro, you may try searching his posts on it. The swap was in a Taylor....:cool:

Call Duane at Hi tech, he did this on a Taylor SJ a while back. Also jet hydro did the same thing.

Call Duane at Hi tech, he did this on a Taylor SJ a while back. Also jet hydro did the same thing.
he did brett taylor( taylor boats) and put in an aggressor race pump, s.o.b. is supposed to be runnin in the low 90's now:devil: that's hookin it for a taylor sj!i seen the work he did on it, ssswwweeeeettt.

I thought Oldbuck's Taylor was hittin that now. Or was, anyway.....LOL

not with a 12je. i pushed the limits already on those damn things! i'd like to see a taylor with a 12je bust 85mph, best i could get was 84 with @800hp. oldbucks has a 12jg or 12jc doesn't it?

:jawdrop: :jawdrop: :sqeyes: :sqeyes: i'm impressed!!!i couldn't ever get enough intake pressure to maintain anything over 84mph. i tried different shoe depths,loaders, nothing worked for me so i sold it and got the tx-19:devil:

Oldbuck's Taylor has a Jacuzzi pump. Don't know if its a WJ or a YJ, his has a diverter on it, so whichever one that is....
