DONT BE SO QUICK TO JUDGE. BO WANTED 900s and was talked out of it.
I was impressed how fast and efficient {I figured 7% slip} that hull was. Never really looked at DCB before.
Power for power compared to others, they are fast.Doesnt TEAGUE have a fast 29 in the 150s.

You are correct Bob T. old F29 had 1080's linked to Bravo style drives. Boat would run into the 160's if somebody wanted it to. I don't know if anybody ever did or not.

You have an Ultra, what are you even doing in a DCB thread? Until you finally step up and get a real boat that actually entraps air and aint a Queen Mary in the water, keep your pie-hole shut.:D

I'll agree that Teagues 29 with the 1080's is still the fastest. That would pretty much run as fast as you wanted. But before selling it, the motors were detuned with a pulley change and the drives re-geared because that's a lot of power in a little boat.

2007/2008 Base price F29 with a pair of HOs is just shy of $200K. Add some options, upgrade to the 525s and your looking at $250K or step up to the Merc 600s or Ilmor 625s for the $300K range :D You know...just a few large cnotes :D Just noticed you like in Gilbert--next year when I bring the boat home to Phx we'll have to hit up Pleasant.

Bla bla bla, Eliminator this, DCB that, ect ect ect. I love this place... (for real I really do, the back and forth banter between us, it keeps this site going)
There are all kinds of fast boats put out by both builders, and all kinds of nice product. Some people have never shopped for this product, but have picked up a mag. did a half ass read and think that one or the other is better........ but never been with in 40 feet of either. They are two a like companys with Spectre and Skater being in that field as well. There is so much to building a truley custom one off boat that people just don't ever see.........................
And for all of you that keep beating on Mr. Harley, I hear he is getting a K&N airfilter for this season so look out....... a qoute from him *"73 mph here I come!!!!!!"
Oh and DCB has a state of the art Vacum bagging system for laying thier boats up now. It is option and a pricy one, but it is a very nice way to go. Very nice set up, Dave showed me some of the stuff that has been going on down there, now that they where able to get back to work since the restraining order agaist Tobohomo. The next couple of years are going to be good for the boating community, Dave has some real nice product coming out and I know Scott Conrad at Spectre is bringing some nice product to market as well. It will be expensive but good for you boat buyers.

Bob doesn't believe in bagging, came straight from the salesmens mouth. Carbon yes, but I don't think they believe in the vac. deal. I could be wrong, so it was a set of "hot" 625's? Who knows, could be like the 28' Daytona that had a tunnel extention on the front and half of the normal glass in it that went 144? Don't know, all the builders have done it/do it.

Huge savings, might think about that. Traded my Sleek in for a 32, should be ready around April.

September. Originally suppose to be a 29 but more than likely upgrade to 32 . Had to get one after parking next to nicks 32 at the channel. I see that he is selling his ilmor 625's on offshoreonly.com.

merc 525's but with Imco SC drives in case I want to upgrade motors later. Wish I could afford 800's right now, your boat is sick!

NOT MY DCB. I WAS JUST CONGRADULATING A FRIEND ON HIS SECOND DCB.NOT SURE WHAT POWER HE HAS. BOTH
OF HIS DCBs WERE NICE AND PERFORM WELL. I AM BOAT SHOPPING ALSO.
WHIPPLES WORK WELL WITH THE 525 IF YOU WANT MORE PERFORMANCE LATER.

That is gonna be way underpowered on that 32
You may want to really consider upgrading

Like Mrs. Killer said above...With 525's your 32' will be WAY underpowered. Buying an F-32 with 525's is like buying a Lambo Murcielago(sp?) and putting a Chevy V-6 in it. If you're spending $300K+ on a SPEED boat, spend another $50k and get atleast the 625's or 700's.

You guys all taking about who has what and how FAST is your boat and all this information is being recorded, noted and watched by all the Insurance Companies. FORD did this on the Mustang Cobra forums and a number of peoples warranties got Voided the next time their cars needed warranty work.
SO keep blabbing all about SPEED and Bragging because sooner or later we might find we've got NO insurance sources or the prices will be $1,000 a month just for insurance with a six month Lay-up period.
I currently own a couple of boats and a few of you know who I am and all of us SMART ones keep our mouths shut about speeds because:
1. We don't have to bragg
2. It only causes problems if you ever have a INSURANCE claim and you even lied on the forums about your speed!
3. It just makes all the Insurance rates go up.
4. What the F--K difference does it make as when you make these statements you all ARE arm chair jockeys any way!
5. If you really had a brain and had the experience of some of the real true
High Speed boaters you'd keep your mouths shut and be cool and quite about it all.
and in closing, what Idiots really operate their Boats 100% of the time close to top speed unless they are a real idiot and have no true experience. Bragging on the Forums only costs everyone money and puts everything in writing for the Record so IF by any chance later on you have a serious accident or insurance claim you just F--Ked yourself by you own stupid admission by your own words on the forum.
If you want to talk speeds do it in PM's or talk on the Phone or do it by private E-Mails.
Grow up and get a GRIP!

Very well said, some people just don't know when to zip it. The more you post about your boat/motors/ or driving habits the more somebody from some industry is watching you. There was a fatal crash with board members and this site was used.

What I've found with Dave is he shoots a little low, if it ran 55 then Dave would say it will run a solid 52. THen the customer will say it runs a solid 72 when it really runs a solid 55 with 57mph spikes with a tail wind going down hill... :D

To whom it may concern,
In the interest to protect the environment I have removed one of my motors. I am estimating but this should make my boat almost as slow as Mr. Harleys.. thank you! :D

YOU MAKE A HALF ASSED STATEMENT LIKE YOU DID WHEN YOU CAN'T SEE THE FORREST FOR THE TREES. SURE, I'VE HAD MY MACH 34 FOR SALE FOR AWHILE AND IT'S NO SECRET TO IT'S SPEED, SO WHAT? YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A ROCKET SCIENTEST TO FIGURE THIS OUT, OR DO YOU?
MY HELPFUL COMMENTS WERE EVIDENTLY MISUNDERSTOOD BY YOU AND YOU GOT YOUR FEELINGS HURT.... TOO BAD FOR YOU. YOU MUST BE SOME REAL SMART FELLOW NOT TO BE ABLE TO FIGURE OUT WHO MIGHT BE WATCHING THESE WEBSITES. CERTAIN BOATS MIGHT ONLY GO SO FAST, AND SOME PEOPLE LIKE TO BRAG A LITTLE WHEN IN THE LONG RUN THEY ARE HURTING MORE THAN JUST THEMSELVES.
FROM THE NUMBER OF POSTS YOU'VE PLACED ON THE FORUM IT SEEMS YOU GOT NOTHING BETTER TO DO EXCEPT BRAG OR ATTACK OTHER PEOPLES OPINIONS AND HELPFUL COMMENTS. GET A LIFE MR. ROCKETMAN, YOU SURE APPEAR TO NEED IT.
OH BOY I CAN SEE IT NOW, HERE COMES ANOTHER 1 MILLION POSTS ON THIS SUBJECT.
GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS AND NOT BE SO CRITICAL ON HOW SOME PEOPLE MIGHT BE TRYING TO HELP SOME PEOPLE WHO CAN'T SEEM TO REALIZE THAT IF THE INSURANCE INDUSTRY WALKS AWAY FROM INSURING HIGH PERFORMANCE BOATS A LOT OF US WILL BE BOATERS NO MORE!
THERE IS AN OLD CHINESE PROVERB: "PUT YOUR MIND IN GEAR BEFORE PUTTING YOUR MOUTH IN ACTION" FROM THE NUMBER OF POSTS YOU'VE MADE I GUESS YOU NEVER HEARD THIS ONE. I WISH ALL I HAD TO DO WAS MAKE A LIVING OUT OF BEING CRITICAL OF OTHERS AND BEING THE PERSON WITH THE MOST POSTS ON THE HOT BOAT FORUMS.
