where is the best place to stay in miami for the boat show?

There is not a BEST hotel. You should book soon as almost all the hotels closest to the show are already booked. We are booked at the Savoy in South beach. A short distance to the show and a even shorter walk to the topless beach :rollside:

where is the best place to stay in miami for the boat show?
rooms are still available at The Essex, book online, if you call in they try to get you with a 5 night minimum. www.essexhotel.com
$300 a night. And its right next to the Cleavlander so you can go to our party there on Thurs the 16th.

South Beach! That's where the after parties are. You're going to pay out the nose for a POS room but that's South Beach for you (unless you stay at the Ritz Carlton). I went the last two years in a row and there's plenty of free shuttles around South Beach that take you to the show. If possible, go on Thursday and Friday to beat the crowds, but more expensive to get in to. You'll have a blast. :cool:

Check for where the parking and shuttles are.
I don't stay there, I'll just come down for the day.

I'm staying in Coral Gables....much cheaper...plus I am bringing my boat down and doing a fun run with a bunch of peeps from the Donzi forums ( www.donzi.net ) on Sat... Running from Coral Gables to Isla Marada. Should be fun. Anyone wanne ride?
Gonna hit the show Thrs and Fri and hit various parties each night....
