I'm gonna drive down to the Village here in Carlsbad were we signed up for a dinner and dancing package. We'll look for a cab ride home afterward, but I have a feeling that is gonna be a stretch. Historically, we spend so much time dancing we're not too drunk, but I'd still rather not have to drive at all if possible.

I've been researching ways to get home. We even talked about riding the bus, but the schedule is so limited, it is not an option. Limos want a minimum of 7 hours. Cabbies won't pre book - they just say call an hour before you're ready. We have a list of cabs numbers that we'e gonna call around 11:30 tonight. We'll see how it goes. I'm gonna go easy on the etoh just in case.

My sister used to basically run Neimans and the other place that eventually shut down. I think the name was Dooley McCluskeys or something like that. She got out of the rest business but her husband still runs one of those places down there. Neimans used to have some great brunches....
