I currently use Adelphia/Time Warner and I vowed to change this crappy unpredictable service at the first of the New Year.
I like the IP voice over idea, but was told that it does not offer 911 address locator. I have a one-year old in the house and the wife wants this feature while the Nanny is at home with him during the day.
So, I guess I'm looking for some help on basic phone/cable and DSL, any suggestions?

We have Vonage at our home, and it does have 911. When you sign-up for Vonage you register your address for the 911 service. We have dialed 911 from Vonage, and the dispatcher knew exactly where the call was coming from. Your results may vary.
