Tommy's Sister Nancy has passed this information on to me about the services being held for Tommy.
The services will be held at:
Crestlawn Memorial Park
11500 Arlington Avenue
Riverside, CA 92505
Date:
Saturday January 13th, 2007
Time:
10am
As stated in the Memorial Fund thread ... in lieu of flowers, Nancy has stated that a donation to the family to assist in this sudden passing would help greatly. If you wish to send flowers or cards, you are more than welcome, please forward them to Crestlawn Memorial Park and they will insure that the family receives them.
I hope to see you all there to remember our friend and to show his family how much Tommy had done for the Hot Boating community.

As a secondary issue, Mike Finnegan (cyclone) and I will be heading out to Lake Elsinore this Sunday. There has been a lot of talk about having a regatta this summer in memory of Tommy ... IMO, I would like to see others sooner ...
So ... if anyone wants (and are local) ... Mike & I will be at the public ramp about 9am ...

We'll be there until we run out of beer, the boat runs out of gas or the lake gets blown out. weather is supposed to be decent so i plan on leggin out as many passes as i can. coors light cove is sounding good right about now. :)

launching from the southwest corner of the lake at the public ramp. its over by the baseball field, next to the ski channel. i'll be there right around 9am with Busby.
Tom Cress (Blown Gas Jet #0440) and his son Hobie called me today and are both bringing their race boats out too.

I've had quite a few calls, about 10-12 in all ... hopefully it'll be nice and we'll be able to kick back a few w/ good stories of Tommy while laying down a few good passes ... gonna bring my camera.
Make sure you call me between 7-7:30am if you want to buy race fuel and for me to bring it. I have to go to the shop for the Cress Team ... so bringing some extra won't be a big deal.

What an awesome day it was yesterday. It was great to see the support for the family as well as the amount of people that came to say good by to our beloved friend(among many other adjetives) Tom Papp. More great news is that with the sales of stickers, calendars, other related stuff and with the donations that came to me for marianne (Toms mother) we raised over $5000 to help her with the bills that have came about. I applaud all of the contributers and I wish you all could have seen her face when we handed that to her. It was amazing. I don't know exactly what the amount will be to cover the expenses but I know we have helped alot. Lets keep up the awesome work and once again I and his family thank all of you.
