With all the recent snow we have been having here in Denver I am ready to move somewhere else. In the past I have been able to tolerate the winters but anymore this sh*t is just getting ridiculous. Not to mention the economy here is in the tank.
What are the summers like in Phoenix compared to SoCal? How is the night life in the Phoenix area? Is the cost of living in line with what the job market is willing to pay?

Stay in Denver, wax the boat, wait for it to melt, after all, that snow is just really hard water. Phoenix is too crowded anyway.

It's great here. Economy has been steady after years of boom. It will be back by this summer in full force according to all the brain power we have.
Awesome winters and great summers. I would recommend the move.

Do a search Boozer. There are tons of threads on this topic. I moved here from Lake Arrowhead CA which is similar climate to Denver. No regrets. I love the heat and the "dry heat" thing is true. I could not live here without a pool though, so make sure you have one at your new place.
Houses on the fringe of town are coming down hard but housing in the core of the city is holding value pretty well.
Job market is doing well as lots of companies are moving here and the future looks pretty good. Go to http://phoenix.jobing.com/default.asp and have a look. Try www.realtor.com for general ideas on property values. Also look at http://phoenix.craigslist.org/ if you plan to rent. You can also find jobs on there too.
Good luck.

Nothing like having a drink by the pool at 11pm @ 105* then going for a swim and getting out and being "cold" from the dry air. It only lasts a minute though then its hot again:D I love it.

Thanks for all the info you guys.
I'm still not sure where I'll end up. I am weighing out a few different possibilities (Phoenix and Las Vegas being the most likely) at the moment. I just know that where ever I end up going needs to be a warm climate state as I am sick of the damn snow and the cold. I also know it needs to be an awesome place because I am tired of all the moving I have done over the last couple of years and plan to stay put for a very long time where ever I end up.

Definately recommend Vegas, great night life, casinos, buffets, freeways desserts, lake Mead, if fact you could commute from St.George, Ut. Yep that's the ticket, if you like heat 118F and it's a dry heat, King Cobra and
OE 800 on special at circle K. Man you could live it up.

the worse heat months are July and August when it's around 110. Then all you can do is boat and float in your pool and sip a brew ;) . That's about as bad as it gets. Winter gets you out in the desert 4x4-ing, hiking etc.
As far as people and traffic, yeah it's grown but we live just outside town in Carefree and I stopped working 2 years ago so I am not duking it out with the pedestrians every day. :D :D :D

Boozer, with your job history it seems you have worked in as many fields as there are so it doesn't matter where you go. Why don't you put a map on the wall, throw a dart at it and BINGO, you have a new direction in life or like Ziggy said, write it down and reflect. (be sure to smoke a bowl while doing it so you can become more creative as the hours of writing go by):D :D

Wait a minute sean! We need to ask the right questions first!
1. How many girls do you have on the boat, on average?
2. Do you have pictures?
3. Is your boat a Kachina?
4. Do you know how to set an anchor?
5. Do you know how to back a trailer.
6. Do you know how to pick up a bar tab?
Answer these key questions, and we will let you know what the membership fees to Lake Pleasant are!

We already have a surplus of clowns because there are too few circuses. Leave the circus openings to the true clowns, and there are several on HB that would qualify.........Boozer, I don't know what you do for a living, but the area between Laughlin and Needles is going strong with development. They even put in a new hospital at Mohave mesa............MP

I tried to join the circus but they said I was TO freaky for their freak show. They didn't want all the other freaks to get jealous.
I do move an awful lot. Maybe I have gypsy in my blood. I should see if UHaul has a fequent flyer program.
I'm trying to finally find one place to call home. I'm as sick of the moving as people are sick of hearing about me moving so where ever I end up this time around is for good. I may end up sticking around here depending on what happens with my current job.
We'll see how I feel after we get hit with another 1+ feet of snow here on Thursday.
