Sad Sad News!!!!!!!!!!

I am Writing this at Beverly Downards request.
It looks like one of our boat brothers (Tim Downard) has past away. It is reported that Tim may have died last Sunday. He has been missing since then and is believed to be in the river near Logan WV. A massive searh has not found him as of today. The police seem to be very sure that Tim is in the river.
This has been a very bad week for his family and friends that have been waiting for some closure. If there is any other news, we will let everyone know as soon as possible.

I, as well as many others, have kept Tim and Beverley in my prayers since New Years. Things don't look good but I'm holding out for a miracle. This reinforces how fragile life is.

I don't think Tim is dead. Too many things just don't add up to a drowning/suicide/accident. I hope I'm right and he's out there, alive and well. If he is, I hope he knows that there are alot of friends waiting to hear from him, and most definately his family. Until I am proven wrong, I will continue to believe that he is ok.

Please bear with me,it is the most horrible thing to be going through.I can't even begin to express the pain and shock i am feeling right now.As of today they have'nt found Tim's body.Every time i hear the phone or hear a knock i think he is going to come in the door and say "hey babe i'm home".The media has gotten every thing backwards and that to me is awful enough without,besides dealing with the complete loss of my husband and best friend.Tim was upset because of being away from home and he worried about me so much.I know that Tim would call if he was o.k.I think he got upset with his brothers and smashed the windows out of the company truck and went down to the river and drank some beer,It was only a time frame of about 15 min. before help arrived and started searching the river bank.Only god and Tim knows what happened.Knowing Tim as I did I feel that he got up to go back up the bank and fell into the river.Tim loved all of you and please pray that if he is in the river that he went with god's arms around him,and knowing that I loved him more than he even knew.Thank you Beverly

I think of Tim often through the day. We spent many days together at the races and he was always helpful and knowlegeable, and jumped right in on any task. I talk w/ Leland daily to see if he has any news. I pray that you can find some peace of mind.

AS OF TODAY, STILL NO NEWS OF TIM.tHEY ARE ONLY SEARCHING THE RIVER EVERY OTHER DAY NOW.THIS PLACE IS AS INCOMPETENT AS THEY GET.MY NERVES HAVE HAD IT.I HAVE WENT TO OUR LOCAL NEWS AND REQUESTED HELP FROM OTHER COUNTIES.THEY HAVE THE BEST RIVER SEARCH TEAM IN GIES CO.[WHERE I GREW UP] BUT THE TROPPER STILL IS DRAGGING HIS FEET.I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY THEY DON'T ASK FOR HELP IN THIS. AS OF TODAY THEY ARE STILL SEARCHING THE RIVER, mY HOME TOWN SWIFT WATER TEAM IS UP AT LOGAN AND THEY ARE BRINGING SPECIAL EQUIPMENT FOR SWIFT WATER,IT IS NOW DAY 18 AND WITH THE TEMP. OF THE WATER AND THE MUDD IT IS HARD TO FIND ANYTHING.I PRAY FOR A MIRACLE BUT THEY SAY HE IS ALMOST CERTAINLY IN THE RIVER, I DON'T WANT THEM TO FIND HIM BUT I HAVE TO FACE THE TRUTH THAT HE IS IN THERE.EVERY DAY IS LIKE A LIFE TIME FOR ME.I KNOW TIM WOULD HAVE CONTACTED SOMEONE BY NOW IF HE COULD,HIS MOTHER IS IN A BAD STATE AS ME TO. As Of Today They Have Not Found Tim's Body.the Divers Cannot Stay Down Very Long Due To The Cold.i Loved That Man So Much I Do'nt Know What To Do With Myself.i Just Want Them To Bring Him Home.the Cold Days Are The Worst Because Even Though It Sounds Silly I Can;t Stand For Him To Be In The River.everyone Pray That He Went Quick And Did'nt Have To Suffer.
