i got a sales guy who i know will be quitting (a little bird told me). He is trying mildly to put deals together right now but will be be quitting in a week or so. Is there anything I should do now or call him out on it? If I call him out on it, I cannot divulge my source.
What would you do?

What would you do?What do you mean he is MILDLY trying to put deals together? Also, is he going to your competion? Is he trying to take clients with him? Need more info to respond.

Mildy means he's going thru the motions of a typical day. Not working real hard but making an effort. He is not going to a competitor and is leaving the industry entirely.
He is no great loss and won't be missed, but I just wish he'd quit wasting my time and pull the trigger. If i could nip it, then I'd like to.

call him on it, if he isn't working like he should then he is just wasting time and money.

If you feel that any future business of yours is at risk, call him on it when you are done reading this...If there is ANY risk of a competive business deal escort him out after you read this and call him on it, more that likley someone is spraying sunshine up this guys ass and it could have an effect on your future income.
Watch your wording and have someone else around.
If he admits to it you will have to pay him two weeks in leiu of his notice.
Wish him the best, pat him on the ass, and watch his tailights go out the driveway!!!
Good luck:jawdrop:

CAll him out on the current lack of production and not what you know. Maybe it'll provoke him to quit now instead of later. Better on your reserves when he quits vs you canning him.
