I've been reading a bunch of ***boat and Powerboat mags '66-'71 and there is several references to twin screw fuelers. Was the design the same and why did it take so long to "perfect" it like todays models.

they were around all the way back to '62 they I have found, and they still havn't PERFECTED it, it's just with power they make now they pretty much have to go that way because they were tearing the props to hell. you'll see that TAF & TAH boats aren't using them yet.

well there was one taf that tried it and had no success. the boat would launch like a fueler but never stay down. as far as the hydros, with the way the twin screw outrigers have been running i wouldnt be surprised to see some crazy number this year. it's all a matter of time before they figure out the right combination.
