Damn Blown! When I first clicked on the link there's two guys yapping about snowboarding and filming themselves boarding down the mountain. I figured "hell, he's finally lost it and is searching the internet for boarding films". After watching that POS I clicked on the link again and saw what I hope you were originally posting. Crazy *&%$ camera man..sheesh

His throatle blades stuck open on him on that run, notice they are still open at the end of the vid when is it stopped.

I am not sure about the blades being stuck open. At the very end of the video, when the car finally stops, the throttle closes back down nice and slow. My guess is when he got the thing shut down from the kill switch, he tensed up and braced himself for the crash and had his foot on the throttle. The when it stopped, he relaxed and took his foot off of the pedal.
But, I could be wrong.

Not to sound insensitive to the racers and their safety (no-one seems to have been hurt)...but how about a round of applause for some truly amazing camera work, keeping a cool head under the circumstances and capturing the whole incident without a hitch. Watch the video again with this in mind and you will realy appreciate it.
