...where I could get a rear drive alternator setup kit? I seen this on Vin-Dog's new boat I just delivered to him and thought it was the coolest thing.

Rear drive? I've heard of direct drive, where its right on the front of the crank. Rex sells those kits.....
You're not talking about the alternator being run off the pump are ya?

No...I've seen a setup where the alternator is driven off of the rear of the crankshaft. You install a crank pulley on the rear side of the crank with the PTO adapter + shaft, and the alternator is mounted off to the side of the block.

I don't believe that there is an "Off The Shelf" kit for the rear drive alternator. All of the installations that I have seen were custom fabbed.

Wouldn't that put the altenator right where it could get douched with water all the time?

I gotcha, I know what you mean, I've seen pics of what you're talking about. I searched around for some to post, but haven't had any luck finding them. If I do, I'll get them to ya...

That's a great system 75 miller jet. Unfortunately it takes away backseat room or requires a pocket in the rear seat. BL

Maybe a big Huffer?
Just curious:confused:
