OK, everyone be nice and I'll bring back the sun.

Yesterday we took ***boat.com offline to fix a few database issues. While in the middle of the repair and upgrade operation we lost contact with the server. After a phone call to our hosting provider it we discovered that a construction crew had severed the fiber-optic cable that runs the entire data center. The cable has just been repaired. We need to re-check the databases and finish an upgrade first, then we will be back online.
Current Status
The forums are up, but the image center will remain down for a while. The outage couldn't have hit at a worse time and the database/everything is messed up. I am starting over from yesterdays backup right now, but it is going to be a slow process. It is also a highly processor intensive script so I'm sure everything will be slower than usual while the database and something like 500,000 image files are updated.

I, for one, appreciate this site and all the work youz guyz are doing behind the curtain. There is obviously a huge amount of data on this site, what with all the pics we post. I know this takes upgrades in hardware as well as software, which is all costly. I have subscribed to the magazine for several years for now, and hopefully the subrscriptions assist with the costly website.
Keep it up and thanks again for your hard work.

Oh, some good news. When we do come back the image center will be linked to your forum login. One login for both areas.

Thank you for fixing the problem... I got seriously peeved when I went over to RRL and saw that the Guy named MONEYPITT uses my name over there as MONEYPIT. So he is actually running a dual life through me. I had to take on a different name which makes me feel cheap.:D
I dont know why he took the name Moneypit when he could have taken his name Moneypitt. Maybe he wants to be like me.

thank you ***boat
Yes, thanks for the playground. As far as the Image Center goes, I'd cut it off to images >2005 and dump/archive the rest. That's a lot of data to manage "for free"....:D

I really don't want to kill the old photos, there is some good stuff in there. Image center is back up btw.

Now that you mention it, I'd like to thank ***boat for making my server look like the rosetta stone of non-stop computing.

ok, it seemed like things were workin again till I tried to get into the image center and upload some pics... I can not find a way to do it, I can not even view my gallery or favorites... I am guessing there might be some more work needed here:idea:

I agree it needs work
As a workaround to get to your gallery go to member galleries, sort by alphabetical order, then go through the pages to find yours. Click on it then bookmark it. Worked for me.
