We have a vacation home in Parker that is right on the water. The race goes right behind our house, straight down to the finish line at the casino. It's off of riverside drive before the Blue Water Casino. You can watch it with us from our place. Need more directions PM me.

There are kinds on places you can watch without having to walk more then 20' from the car. Just head down that goes towards P mountain (not sure of the name, but there will plenty of vehicles headed that way). You'll see lots of cars parked to the right on a plateau that over looks a wash. The cars run down the wash, and you can puul the vehicle right up the edge.

Like Dennis said above go down Shea road and when you get to where they are near the road...pull off and get close....there are a number of places you can pull off near Shea...
Also, take him down to the BlueWater on Friday when everybody has their stuff setup still clean so you can see it up close and they are selling t-shirts, hats and stuff.

Last time he was down for that race it was still the 500 and that was the first and only time I saw it SNOW at the river. I think that was the late 80's..

Good advice there. Contingency is always a great way to see all the cars up close and CLEAN as they go through tech... :) We pulled over near the course behind the pits off Shea Road last year. Cars bombing by at 50 plus. Nice enough spot.

The Parker 400 is fun to watch the start is the best!! It is at sunrise and worth getting up for! They start in town and go right down the main street (Very Fast). At the Start I like watching them go over the Rail Road tracks and then into the dirt #1 on the map. During the race #2 behind Bean Pot Hill over looking Osborn Wash is a great place your up hight and can see a lot. take the dirt road that goes to the cement factory only about 300 yards take some folding chairs and maybe a easy-up. #3 they only go down that road once to finish they do three laps. #5 is Shea Road it maybe close this year. Have Fun!

Best In The Desert series. Over 170 race cars pre entered. Should be a big field. :)
