Anyone having problems yet with the season pass manager not recording? Just noticed the last couple of days. Tried to reboot and everything else I could think of. After talking with two people at Directv and getting nothing, finally got transfered to a "Tivo Specialists" if there really is such a position. Come to find out they know of the problem and are "working to resolve it with no eta at this time". So I am screwed, as are many others according to the Tivo Community Forums. Looks like the temp fix is to force a call every two days and reboot the system often. Some kind of indexing problem from what I can gather.
Side note: Directv gave me $20 off each months bill for the next 6 months for my trouble. I would rather have the system working instead of the money. For everyone with Directv - please call and tell them you have the same problem. Then ask for a discount. That will help you with the money, and the rest of us by forcing them to fix the problem. I bet they would fix it fast if they started to see a dent in the pocket book.

Hmmmm, two shows I had on the season pass manager didn't record last Thursday. They recorded tonight and I haven't had any other issues except for last Thursday. I'll have to keep an eye out for this.

I had the same problem two days last week. Did the same thing you did.. rebooted the receiver...unplugged it for several minutes and plugged it back in. I then checked on season pass and found that it showed their were no upcoming shows to record. I called and got the same run around you did.. but they didn't offer to reduce my bill. When I checked later in the evening it was showing their were future shows to record. However, the following day it did not record. I deleted the season pass and programmed everything back in again and have not had an issue since then.

I've had nothing but problems since I upgraded to the DirecTV HD-DVR in December! Ever since I had the new dish and box installled we've had crappy reception. When watching a show, the picture and sound would freeze up for 5-20 seconds at a time, and usually during the most important part of the show. It also displayed the list of shows we had recorded using the season pass manager, but when you try to play the show, all the box would allow you to do is delete the recording!
I spent well over a hour on the phone with their tech support last Wednesday trying to unfook the thing. Finally after 75 minutes, the tech said, "You win." HUH?? I win??? What do you mean "I win?" Turns out the box was B/O and they had to send me out a new one. It arrived literally the next day. Then it took three phone calls to finally get the new box installed and all of our options hooked up right. The girl on the 1st call was friggin classic! She was obviously African American, and dumb as a box of rocks. When I was reading her the box ID and serial numbers it took me three times to have her get them right. She would repeat the number/letters back to me, using phonetics for the letters. Her phonetics were hilarious...R as in Rashiki, K as in Kanisha, D as in Daaaaawg.....I needed a translator to decode her ghetto slang!
So far we don't have any problems with it freezing up any more, but now the words don't match up with the mouths when people are talking. This only happens on the channels that are HD. Needless to say they have some issues they need to work out. For my hassles, they gave me 6 months of free Showtime. I'd rather have the $20 off.

They didn't offer to lower my bill, I had to ask them what they were going to do and suggest they lower my bill.

K as in Kanisha is how the military repeats also. Well, when they are deployed in south Compton. I would call them back and keep bitching. The HD service is supposed to be the best, I wouldn't put up with that garbage. Usually I make them give me whatever service is bad free until they fix it.

I have two of them and just one is not recording the season pass shows. My wife told me about it last night and I checked to see if they were in the To Do list which they were but they are not recording. I figured I would just wait a few days to see if it corrects itself.
Sounds like a bug to me !!!

Cole...
I checked this afternoon and both shows recorded ok today. Are you still having problems with yours? If I have any other problems I'll ask for some $$$ off my bill.

So far so good. From what I gather off Tivo Community Forums, it will come back just about every three days. I have too many season passes to miss, so for now I will just keep forcing updates until I hear it is fixed. I hear that it fills up some logfile and once that happens, the season passes have no where to be stored.

I've been pretty happy with our HD DVR (HR20). Only real issue has been with this newest firmware update. Locks up once in a while (not too often though) but the real annoying thing is we have parental set on it so the kids dont watch bad things. Well, if it records a over PG show and we go to watch it, the stupid screen saver comes up during the entire show.

I haven't had any further problems with the season pass since last week. So hopefully you won't have any other problems either. Please post again if you continue to have trouble.
