any and all who have golf carts, rhinos, prowlers, rangers or any other utv/ruv to go to Moab utah in June we are already getting a 2 episode 5 week tv spot and so far three magazine(side x side action, cartwheelin, Toy hauler magazine) wil be there for sure. And we are in contact withover 50 plus different potential sponsors from all aspects of the sxs sport. there will also be special projects unveiled out there for the first time to the public. so far I am aware of 3 and there will be possibly more of those special projects out there.
http://www.utvrally.com/index.php
We will have a Geocache, Poker run, Tug of war, and a special dinner planned.
I would really like to see the ***boat crew there because you guys and gals seem to have a pretty good turn out on your rides. We will also have a vender row there and organized rides.
We need to start getting the registrations confirmed in order to let the sponsors know what kind of involvement they will need to have to make this a great experiance for everyone. Please reply and let us know what you think of this and we look forward to hearing from you
Thanks,
Scott Baxley

that would be great he seems to do a great job on here
we would even be game for his input and any help he would be willing to offer we will donate a portion to the BLM Of Utah and the rest will be used to cover the insurance and costs for the set up and reservations needed for the venders.

Moab is an awesome place if anyone hasn't been there. It is one of my families favorite places to go. You can rent a 2 bedroom condo there for under a $100 a night. Skip the hotels. And bars/restaurants/shopping are all within walking distance if you stay close in town.

and with as many people that are already going the campgrounds and rv spots are filling up fast, as for the motels and cabins I understand they are already getting reservations for the event

Oh, there's more than one hotel. There are 2. j/k There are quite a few, in fact, for such a small town. Their main industry is tourism due to Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park so nearby. . . .plus, the jeeping. :D

thanks for the post on some more places to stay but if they hurry and register there is still room at the main campground/rv/cabin area I am hoping to see a big turnout from ***boat, You guys and gals seem to know how to have fun on the side x sides. after the first event depending on the turnout we will be scheduling more in different parts of the us depending on the votes for each potential location. Our sponcer list is growing and if we get some larger numbers of confirmed people coming we will even get a greater sponcer turnout.

Tough deal. June is boating season for us. I can't see stopping a Havasu trip to go to Moab. :(
BTW... one of my best friends owns Area BFE out there in Moab. I'm sure he would be willing to do some stuff with you guys.

I was at BFE in April and it was miserably hot. I can't imagine hanging out there in June.
I also wouldn't worry about the place selling out. If it can handle the EJS, then it can handle a rhino convention.

well it seems the Rhinos dont want no part of this rally ;) It must mean they a skerd of my big bad Ranger;)
Just messing with you rhino guys but we do need to see some of those awesome rhinos from the Havasu area. I have been watching this site from back when I heard of one of the first rides you did. and you had such a big turnout. But I guess nobody wants to see the one of a kind ranger being unvieled there or the custom rhinos that will be there also, heck from what I understand there are even going to be some moddified carts going. so come on guys and gals it is just one weekend and will bee all kinds of different things going on. :)

That's not the issue at all, your coming in on everyones boating season.
I would like to go but since the temps will be the same i would rather be in my back yard at the lake, if this rally took place on a different date like oct or feb for instance, then you would probably get every one of us !! :)
Look how Todd can come together with over 100 peeps in a months notice for a weekend run ?........:)

but that is all the more reason to go to the site and help influence the vot on where to go for different rallys and if you and others go and give ideas on future rallys the sponsors would be dumping more items into these events for all the people that are going. we have many sponsors donating upwards of 3000. dollars worth of prizes and plus the magazine coverage and the tv coverage. and if it is big enough I have been in touch with a couple of (unnameable for now)celebritys and they might show up if we get enough they have said it is still to soon for them to say yet.we are already expecting over 100-200 just on the talk and the sponsors will be there also to go on the rides they will have the option of tech clinics and a big dinner presentation it cant hurt to give up one weekend to go and party on the dry land for such an event, trust me if I had the money for a boat I would be going on duel purpose vacations as I love the lakes also I was just in a bad accident 3 years ago on a jet ski and have not been back out to a lake since

I get what your talking about for sure !!.......but i don't think you realize the magnatude of this time of year for the rhino/boaters here.
I for one don't want to be somewhere in this heat and can't escape it without getting in some sort of water to cool down !!......this rally is just happening on a wrong time schedule for the rhino/boaters is all.
I think you should get with Todd969 to set something up for out here or somewhere else when it doesn't effect the boating season !!
You have great coverage for this event, celebrity's or not, tv time and mags, this is just the wrong time of the year for us west coasters when it comes to the water toys !! :)

With respect to what you've put together I would say the timing is BAD.
You need to realize that June,July and August are prime vacation\boating months. My wife and I talked about going, but I just don't see it.
I'll bet you get a great turnout, just not many boaters. Maybe you should throw a post on Glamisdunes.com and see where it goes.
Best of luck,
Todd

I appritiate all the support on here and do hope that some of you can still make it as I see the need for the water ;)
and as for the date we put up a vote section and for dome reason everyone that voted chose that date I will go no matter what time of year it is we had many different selections for locations and for dates and this was the end result
so I am asking please go there and register on the site and reply to some of the post to help with ideas for future rallys and possible events you would like to see at them. as we can always use help on ideas
Thanks,

Things are starting to kick into high gear with the Rally, and I can't say enough how much I appreciate all of our committee member's hard work. This week has turned out to be a big success:
1) Mayday Industries - www.maydayindustries.com are donating first aid kits to all our trail guides and a large 100+ person trauma kit as well
2) Powertank - www.powertank.com is donating a couple of their new mini tank setups and some tire repair kits.
3) Side x Side Graphics - www.invisionpowersports.com are donating a sick looking rhino graphics kit
And, we have verbals from two major aftermarket vendors to be platinum sponsors which should be finalized next week. Stay tuned for the latest issues of Cartwheelin', Side x Side Action, and Toy Hauler Magazines with our ads. It's going to be a great event, and we couldn't do it without the unbelievable level of help we're receiving from everyone. Thank you,
Chris

Hey folks,
I know I've said this before, but it's very important that if you intend to be at the Rally that you get your reservations setup at Archview Resort or Moab Valley RV Resort. The PRCA Rodeo is in town the same weekend, and I just got a message from one of our sponsors that the hotel rooms are few and far between. http://www.discovermoab.com/calendar.htm
If you're bringing an RV or plan to tent camp, call Archview @ 800-813-6622 and leave a message for Kate indicating what you need, what date's you're planning to be there, and your contact information so she can call you back to confirm.
All of the cabins at Archview are already booked, so if you'd like a cabin, please call Jessica @ Moab Valley RV Resort at 435-259-4469. And, if when you call Archview the RV spots are booked, call Jessica for those as well. Here's a link to the campground information: http://www.utvrally.com/viewtopic.php?t=63 and here's the event registration page: http://www.utvrally.com/viewtopic.php?t=101

Hello everyone,
This past week has been very hectic, in a good way. We've had some serious additions to our quickly growing list of sponsors, such as:
Yamaha
ATV Television
ATV Illustrated Television
Legend Air Suspension
Seizmik (aka Kart Accessories)
Elka Suspension
Bikeman Performance
Ramsey Winch
Pro Armor
PCI Radios
Vector Manufacturing
Rock Hard ATV
Cliffhanger Rentals
Acro Lights
Arizona Sports Center
This puts us at 3 television shows with over 55 million viewers, not to mention the latest issues in Cartwheelin', Side x Side Action, and Toy Hauler Magazine's full page ads. On top of that, Seizmik and Elka Suspension were nice enough to put some posters up at their booths at the Dealer Expo this past weekend.
We're expecting this to be the largest, highest profile UTV specific event in 2007. Next year, we're planning to do 3-4 events nationwide, so if this year's timing or location doesn't fit well with your schedule, come join us anyway so we can get your input on next year's locations.
Please keep in mind that registration ends on April 30th, and cabins and rv spots are booking up fast. It's going to be a lot of fun, and we hope you can join us. If you have any questions about the Rally, please don't hesitate to email us at chris@utvrally.com

doesnt seem to be very many rhino owners here it seems;)
nobody seems to reply if they are here :)
You have a few problems here.
1. These pussies aren't going to be putting their Rhinos in any sort of real off road experience like Moab. Dunes are tough enough on them.
2. Too may ego's at stake. If a Jeep idled by, the Rhinos would die from fear, the owners would have to make up excuses.
3. These lazy tools won't take the energy to pack up and make a super nice trip out it. They want to do it the lazy way, make it a day trip and show their face.
The excuses have already begun.
Too hot, what about boating.

The consensus seems to be that it's a great event, however, the timing isn't conducive to not sweating into a puddle in the cab...
We do the Easter Jeep Safari as well as act as a trail official for the Labor Day campout that Red Rock Four Wheelers sponsers. We've been out on the trail over Labor Day down there and it can be absolutely MISERABLE.
On a seperate note, have you contacted the Utah Four Wheel Drive Assn? I know they have a pretty good following for this sort of thing along with thier contacts within the Blue Ribbon Coalition. Might be worth a shot.
Also, what campground are you setting up in?
