To everyones advice I made a longer ride plate for the Sanger but I have a couple other questions. I have also been told to change the shoe and intake grate. It currently has the finger style grate and the shoe is probably stock to the best of my knowledge.
My question is to change the shoe is there machining involved or is this a bolt in item? How hard is it to change? (Except for the ride plate I haven't paid much attention under the boat.)
The intake grate is just held on with countersunk machine screws isn't it? What kind of grate should I go to?
Motor is a 460 Ford approx. 330HP/Berkley 12JG pump.
I'm lookin' for some more speed if possible without getting into the motor if possible.
I know these may seem like stupid questions but I am an offshore guy so I'm still on a learning curve with jet boats.
