Isn't Placecraft now Domin8tor? A friend of mine custom built a 22 within the last few months and it has a Domin8tor sticker on it.

SecondPLACE has the scoop on the Placecraft internal battle that moved the molds from one factory to another.. I heard the hull had to be changed a bit to not infringe on the original molds...I'll see if he can put up the info to explain the changes

The 22 hull was sold to Domn8tor by Frank Place recently. The boat is now being built as a "22 PLACE DECK"
Over at PLACECRAFT, the Hamilton's have done a great job on their new projects: the 23 and 28 Stepcats. As the pics show, these are both very impressive designs with major changes from the previous look.
I can honestly say that both PLACECRAFTS that I have owned have more than exceeded my expectations. Customer service is also a key factor when I decide on a builder. Ron and Scott deliver every time.
BTW, I'm currently searching for a 19' PLACECRAFT tunnel......anyone know of one for sale?

Is tom now out in havasu? I haven't seen him around in a while and wanted to get a hold of him. Heard about the boat he was working on. He does nice work.

Known Tom for years, seen most of his projects. You'd be hard-pressed to find a rigger that rigs as custom and clean as Tom. His stuff is pretty much off the charts.

Know Tom and his reputation quite well....he originally owned my first 21 footer. Heard rumor that his blue 19' was for sale a while back..does he still have it? THAT boat is sick! I 'm aware that he has the mold-- the Hamilton's confirmed this, and suggested that as an option. I'd prefer to find a used one first, however that me be a challenge.
As for PLACECRAFT, not sure if they will be at the boat show or not. I'd sure like to see them there, and quite confident that they would generate alot of business.
BTW Bob, your former 22 stepcat was recently re-rigged and runs strong! ;)

I know he still has his 19. From what I know about Tom, everything is always for sale, just bring the right amount of money.

HB did a write up on the boat 5-6 years ago. I'm sure someone can find the pics. It used to be in the old HB online boat photo section.
