Hi,
I just bought an old chris craft that had been converted to a jet drive. I dont know anything about jet drives but the info on the jet drive says it is a berkeley jet drive model 12 J3V B.M. # 3674. Can anyone tell me how old it is? Is it worth anything?
thanks,
Lori

It sounds like it may be about a 1952 or 1953 model. Are you sure it was converted over? They made some of the Chris Crafts that way back then. Does it have most of the pump inside of the boat and a kind of funny plate on the back that controls steering and reverse? I restored one similar to that for a guy several years ago. Value? Wouldn't have a clue, probably just what it's worth to you would be my guess. Can you post some pictures of it, or email them to doblander@hi-techperformance.com

The boat I bought is a 1961 ski boat and the hull card doesnt list a jet option. It does have the 283 engine. I cant imagine that the jet drive is from the 50's but maybe it is. It is dark now but I can post some pictures tomorrow. How do I do this on this site?
thanks,
Lori
