Does anyone know of a place that rents or loans props to test? I am looking to test a 22p bravo 1. There is a shop by me called dick sherrer that loans them but they dont have a bravo1. My boat has a real low x dimension,8" below the hull, so im trying out a lot of props. I have a 24p hydromotive q4 but its cleaver not round, does 65 at 4600. Tried a 26p mirage, that got me 4900 and 70mph. I think a 22 p bravo would work good. Thanks

Where do you plan on doing your testing? If it's out here in Havasu, I bet I could round up a 22p, and I have a 24p you could try.

if you do your testing in havasu this is the place. http://www.thepropellercompany.com/. Richard will let you take a few props to find out what you like.

Teague Custom Marine used to have a prop demo program. So did Quality Performance Marine in Corona.

Figure about 200 rpm per pitch, and a Bravo 22 is actually closer to 21 pitch. Hydromotives and Mirages are closer to the actual advertised pitch. That should give you about a 1000 more rpm. You slip is actually excellent with the Hydromotive. If your numbers are correct that's only 7%:jawdrop: . Closer to 13% with the Mirage. Sounds like your boat likes the Hydro, not to say a Bravo wouldn't work for you also.

The hydromotive i have is really not the right prop for my drive (TRS). Supposedly it is an outboard prop because it has a smaller outer hub. It works ok, but i would like to get my Rpms up to around 5500 if i can. Im running a clay Smith 509 that he says makes good power in the upper range.
Thanks for the info Kachina.
I will try and call teaque and see about their loaners.
