i met a guy named Stan out at Elsinore a few weeks back that says he owns the mold my boat came out of. He's building new Cheyennes out of the mold and his number is 951-760-5668 and he's located in Wildomar, CA.
He quoted me about 8,000 bucks for a bare hull with parkay flooring.
According to him, this is the "good" Cheyenne mold (whatever that means).

I know the Cheyennes that Duane sells are Ervin's, and I assume the ones that Gary sells are too.

The molds Erv Capps has are the Original Cheyenne Molds. All the other molds are from splashes done off Cheyennes which came out of Erv's molds ... some boats from the splash molds are close to the originals, others have had some slight modifications made to them.
Capps can layup both lake/river and Race weight hulls using either Fiberglass and/or Kevlar. Duane Oblander, Hi-Tech Performance is the principal distrubitor for the Original Cheyennes Erv makes.

Tom Papp told me that he made two molds, the first gen, which i believe is the one Capps is building out of, and a 2nd generation, which Tom redesigned for his customers at the time that wanted to run big horsepower, blown motors. He did say that there are several other molds out there that were splashed off of race boats and that didn't work well, but the one Earvin has and the one that Stan has are the original molds.
According to Papp, the Stealth is the 3rd generation that he designed after his experiences with the Cheyenne molds.
It doesn't matter to me, but Im speaking up because this is what Tom told me and I figure he would be the best source of info.
As for Stan's remarks about having the "good" mold..I dont know and don't really care. I do think there are minor differences between his mold and the other one.The decks are certainly different. Judging from photos of KenF's boat and mine, the differences in the bottoms are so small that you can't see them, you'd have to measure them.

Mike, does Stan's mold have the recessed dealios on the deck or are they pop ups?

No. Earvin has the recessed deck and Stan has the raised deck.

I bought my boat from Ultra, which laid it up using Stan's Cheyenne mold. It was the first lightweight 19 tunnel the company had ever laid up in that particular mold. I refer to it as an Ultra because that's where i got it and the title says Ultra Boats. Technically, its a Cheyenne.

Mike,
It was really interesting to me that there were two different versions of Cheyennes, and that you had yours laid up by Ultra. I called Duane and talked to him about this What did your boat turn out to weigh ?
