My Stock mini high torque wont even turn over my motor. Looking for something the same in size with some more balls! What should I go with? How are the PowerMasters?

Powermaster has a killer gear reduction starter that is like a factory one with the nose for support and is way lighter than a factory starter, way better than those mini deals!..

Powermaster is junk; nice plastic parts inside. Mini's are for drag cars.
I went back to a standard chevy configuration high torgue starter, and no break-o. I found that it's a good idea to get a starter from a guy that understands boats because they seal them and use the proper internal parts. The stuff out of Jeg's, etc., is fine for cars, but can't take the punishment a bost engine dishes out. Just my $0.02...
If space is an issue and you have to use a small starter, at least make sure the starter has a nose support---as stated above--or the bearings will wear out before you know it. Again...make sure it is sealed.

The Power Master that I just bought is a 250 ft lb torque starter... Should work...

This looks like the one I have now. (Just Stock though) Just worried if I go with something else, like the 250Ft pound one with the straight bolt pattern, it might not clear my oil pan? I had to send my pan back to Armandos initially for this starters cross bolt pattern.

Tilton 54-10001 and 54-20001 are about as good as it gets we have been using them for years with no problems. B

I agree, I don't like the mini's either but they have an OEM super high torque style I hear that is nothing like the mini, but I'll find out first hand soon enough!..

for cost / tech support you have to go with ron cook stuff, but the KING DADDY of all starters is the TS 300 MEZIERE, if you have to ask how much you can't afford it.

Are you sure that the starter is the problem?

RB performance, I broke three starters before I put one of his in five years ago.
