When I purchased my '07 Silverado Classic, it came standard with the 3 year 36,000 mile warranty. I purchased the 5 year 75,000 mile warranty when I bought the truck.
Well a couple weeks later, Chevrolet announced that all Silverado trucks would come standard with the 5 year 100k warranty on it.
Did they make this retroactive? Is there any way to get a refund for the now useless extended warranty? Or will they just make mine the 5 year 100k mile warranty and add on the extra mileage that I paid for (would be about 39,000 miles extra mileage)?

the warranty is for EVERY 2007 and up GM vehicle. If you had your truck before the announcement, you automaticly get the 100k warranty as long as it is a 2007 model year. As far as the extended warranty you bought, It is a good idea to keep, because this will cover a/c components, power window motors, and all of the other stuff that the factory extended warranty will NOT cover after you get outside of 36,000 miles. Hope this helps!:D

But shouldn't the factory extended warranty cover everything up to 100k miles?

Everything that has been said is what I would have said..... Although the extended warranty's are sappost to be sending you a slight refund... They are cheaper on the 07's now that part of the warranty is standard... Please call the 800 number on the side of your warranty to enquire about your refund if you have not recieved it yet...
