what do i have to do too get my on strar to work .i just had new stero and amps put in and now my onstar dose not work :idea:

I second this. Hopefully you got a nice head unit that has an applicable unit available to keep all the functions of your on-star. Dallas will know for sure.

Not a master installer but I know when you add a custom stereo with amps you have to add an extra speaker under the dash for the onstar to be heard. It might still be working you just cant hear it. If they didnt want to take the time to do that its possible they just unhooked the whole thing.

Peripheral makes a interconnect which will make your onstar work with your aftermarket headunit for about $125. Shop can also leave your factory headunit stashed connected under the dash somehow to keep it working.
