They are not going to be last I heard. Lightning boats I think is going to have one on display, but dont quote me on that. They are still in buisness and producing boats. Martin told me that they are focusing on fine tuning the operation this year and new product development. They have a bunch at the shop right now including mine if you wanted to take a look.

I talked to Shawn the other day. Sounds like they may not make it.
Their deck boat (both the 25 and 27) are the Orion Molds. Sick boats though. They built a 1400hp green flamed one that is just unbelievable.

I think they just met up through the boating buisness. No family ties as far as I know.

Martin Casillas, owner is taking a break from producing his own hulls right now. He is swamped with spraying for Lightning as they have many orders on 27 Cats, and the new 25 deckboat.
I believe lightning waited too long to rsvp for LA, hence them not being there. It is not for a lack of business.
Orion will always honor our customers warranty issues and build a small amount of custom cats for the spring. Newer, bigger things are yet to come from Orion and Martin.
Currently, you can get Orions 25 canopy cat, 25 canopy deck and the 27 cat through Lightning Custom Boats in San Fernando Valley. Contact them for 07 Prices and Options..
Anyone hiring?
PM me..haha kidding, sorta
This spring the 25 deckboat will hit the water, more 25 cats and Lightning is currently laying up a new 27 big single blown, #6 drive.
