Mercruiser MPI fuel injection

I am looking to see if my 7.4 litre 310 hp MPI fuel injection system will work on a 502 HT block (high torque 550ft lbs @ 2500 rpm 338hp) with out causing damage. Seems like Mercury Marine cannot answer this question.

I would say no. The 502mag is rated at 415 hp so that tells me that your ecm and package is calibrated for 100hp less.

Have to get a 502 Mag ECM with it's program.

I would call AZ speed and marine. They know those systems better than anyone. They can send you a reprogramed unit and injectors if the ones supplied are not big enough.
