Wow that is an impressive shop and growth story. I started out at Wesco Aircraft in 86...they only had 20 employees at the time. Randy and his mom were to owners..not sure if you know them. That company is huge now. Good to see success stories in Aerospace!

I worked at TRW in Redondo Beach for 5 years, 1988-1993. I was a Sr. Tech on the Tomahawk missle thrust vector control project and worked with the Isrealis on the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle project. Good times - but I was laid-off with everyone else when the $$$ ran out.

Dave,
Keep pluggin' away, don't ever let up with the quality and service and you'll do fine.:D
So many people in business get a few bucks in their pocket and they think the've made it. Then they start ignoring the details, spending the profits, don't reinvest and start the slide down.....
BTW Did (Do) you used to race circle boats?

superdave013
01-25-2007, 01:40 PM
Heck I'm still working keeping a few bucks in my pocket. Seems to go back out pretty fast. lol
I didn't circle race but could (can still) be found at most of the events. I did run Blown gas flat with NJBA in '90 - 97.

CATIA and UG. Used to do a lot of outsourced work, now we just supply the guys and tubes, you figure out how to manage the program. Got more difficult as most programs become more time compressed and 80% gets done before the "we want to change everyting" conversation and they don't want the price to goe up.
Now you can have the designers, tubes etc. and manage your own timeline. BTW, I need CATIA and UG jockeys in AZ if you know of anyone..Gugs

As of 2 January, 11 years assembling Lear Jets.
4.5 yrs sheet-metal mechanic, mostly exterior skin/fairing work.
6.5 yrs electrical/avionics/options installer.
Always was an airplane nut, I really enjoy my job. Many of the managers, planners, methods people, material controll people, are complete idiots. I don't enjoy them so much.
