Everything except for the paint work is done at Larry's Engine and Marine. Larrys lead rigger Jeff does all of the work. He has had so much experience with Predator that it really benefits anyone with a boat like this. Like you said, once we really got into it, alot of things had to change. Not just for more speed but reliability AND safety. This boat can produce a big number and it really helps your confidence when you know everything is done exactly right. Andy, when you do your new Quad Rotor make sure you get the new compressors Whipple is producing. Larry has tested them on the Predator motors and they are awesome.:jawdrop:

Right on, well keep the pictures coming.
My qaud rotor is already together, it was going in the 26 but I figured a qaud and 6 set up was just to much for a 26.

Good choice on the 26, that thing would have been a monster.:D The 29 will be sick though. That is such a bullet proof combo.:)

We really dont have a goal. I'm sure Jeff and will do some runs soon and see what it will do. The only thing I'm really concerned with is trying to make it reliable as possible. Thats why it's only at 10# of boost. Sitting on the beach is no fun. As for numbers, a little more than the Eticket, a little less than the Predator.:D

By you I mean your boat. Kinda sounded gay when I just reread it. :)

That’s a beautiful package all around. Boat and power.
Just out of curiosity could you tell me and may be some others would like to know what you improved in the boat for the safety aspect?

From the hull itself, nothing. I think everybody knows Skater builds a top of the line boat. The engines and drives had some issues. When I said safety I meant I wanted to do everything that could be done to minimize the risk of something shutting down or coming apart when we are running hard. The fuel pumps and fuel system was not up to where they should be. Larry's put on bigger pumps and made it a return system. The sea strainers were way to small. They would suck dry as soon as the boat would become airborne. We put on double the size strainers and ran the lines lower in the hull. My Number 6 drives for some reason had the old style lower units. Over 130 those lowers get very loose so I am having the new style swept back skegs installed for much more control. We also scanned all of the drive gears and found some that needed to be replaced.
Alot of this stuff you could pass on doing if the boat would run slower speeds. Everybody who boats with me knows that I cruise between 50 to 70 95% of the time. But when I do turn it up I dont want any suprises:sqeyes:

Thanks for the reply. I was curious to know what it took to set up the potential to run the big speed numbers reliably and safely like you said. Sounds like you are taking the time, effort and money to do it right.
Once again you have an awesome boat
