February Riding Trip

Head'n out for another riding trip Feb. 17-19. This is Presidents' Day weekend, so hopefully everybody is off on the 19th to get in an extra day.
The location is still open for suggestions but the likely spot will be near Randsburg.

I know, they said there was a 3-4 day wait for a room in ICU. We were put in the 'ICU' section of the Emergency room. That place has serious overcrowding. BUT, and it's a big BUT, I had the BEST nurses and specialist, as far as attitude and concern. The nicest, and funnies bunch of Hosiptal employees I have ever met, and I've been to a bunch of Hospitals over the years, including many months at VA and Naval facailites.
So far, we are planning to go for the weekend with the whole family. I'll just take it easy and take my time loading/unloading stuff, riding easy. I'll be nice to camp wih yall and hang out again around the fire.

Ha Ha! I've given up on trying to ride easy with Scott and Rich. They still like to break bones and stuff at their age. :D
I've been there and done that over the past 35 years of riding and just want to cruise and enjoy myself. :)

Directions from Lancaster:
Take the 14 North to Randsburg Redrock Road and bear right off the 14 North towards Randsburg. About 12 miles down Randsburg Redrock Road the road will fork, stay toward the left which is Garlock Road and continue to 395 (8 miles). Turn left on 395 and go about 3 miles to Searles Station Cutoff Road and turn right. There is a small sign here that reads "To Trona" or something like that. Stay on Searles Station Cutoff Road for about 1.3 miles and turn right into the dirt after you go over the railroad tracks, continue on the dirt road for about 250 yards and turn left down that dirt road which is shown as Searles Station Road on the Pics. Continue along this road for about 1/2 mile and look for us there.

Wish is was better....still not 100%. Got one more week of healing before the trip. Still trying to get the bike back together, had some problems with the handle bar mount, hopefully ordered the right one today and hopefully it will be here before Friday. Who knew there would be two differnt types for the same year :confused: No matter what, I will be going. Hope to see you there.:D
