How would you feel about an organized Family Drag Race, with 110 MPH speed limit? Rumors have it, that their may be Drag races, with brackets of 80. 85, 90, 95, 100, 105....All boat carrying GPS Garmins... These Family Drags would be open to Jets, Vee Drives, I/O's and Outboards...
Entry fees would be low, but there would be REAL INSURANCE.....
Stay tuned.... Seems fun to me...I'd like to see my S-3 EFI get after a few V-drives....

BBSP 9 will be at Hi Isle Cove. Do a Google Earth on Lake Havasu and go South East near Havasu Springs. It appears on Google south of Bluegill Island. High Isle is not protected by reeds like Speed Alley, but always has flat water and a good 1/2 mile high speed run with good beaches nearby for viewing and pits. You can launch at Havasu Springs or the Arizona State ramp at Cattail Cove.
Kim promised he would be there this year... and we will have the annual sushi party at Havasu Secret's house.
The GPS Coords are:
34" 18' 57.37 N
114" 08' 33.29 W

Actually it's just a fun unorginized weekend on the water. It would be great if more big blocks showed up. NOthing beats the sound of a bad ass big block. I used to have one. I hope more will show up this year than ever before.

I would say it's about 15 miles south of the nautical inn. It's not bad of a boat ride. If you want to get a little closer, you should launch at cattail cove.

No. Black Meadows is on the other side of Havasu. We will most likely be launching from Cattail Cove...It's only about a 10 min. drive from the house.

The road to Black Meadow Landing is bumpy and windy. Cattail cove is just right off the 95hwy. Also Cattail just re-did their ramps about a couple of years ago. It's wider and have a better parking access. Also, if I remember last time at was at Black Meadow, they charge camping fees even though you're just going to launch your boat over there. I much prefer Cattail cove.

Well, the stereo is in. Took until 2:30am to get it done, but it's mostly done. Unfortunately, one of the RCA cables seems to have a problem, so now I have to pull 1/2 of the amp board back out to get to in. Sounds pretty good though. :) Wow, my first boat with a stereo. :sqeyes:

Nope, stereo. Bout time I have my own. :) The stereo will be done tomorrow, and the helm reinstalled. Next week the lower units go back on and I should water test the end of the week. If all goes well, we're on for spring break the following weekend. :)
