We need everyone that is coming to the event to register on the web site.
http://MQBC.COM
You can defer payment for up to a month. If you need a form printed and mailed we can accomodate this choice. Just call Renee 210.834.3422.
Pre registration will allow us to calculate the number of meals we will need to have prepared. Also the amount of space that will be needed.
We will also be video streaming this event "live" over the internet from Texasradio1.com. Everyone that cannot attend can virtually be there through the webcast. You just won't be able to smell or touch the bikini models.
A lot of details about planning are going on. If you have a suggestion please drop us a line. We are thinking about inviting Cycle Country as a vendor. They carry Yamaha, Suzuki, Victory and Polaris sport toys. Would you like to see motorcycles and sport toys at the event?
I am relying on you - Texas HOT BOATERS - to spread the word.

Devilman

Yeah, we have the spot next to TexasJet, so we'll be there barring any outlandish problems.
Greaser has been known to put things like "making reservations" off to the last damn minute, but I'm sure him & Black will be there.:D
Esabataj won't make up his damn mind, keeps hem-hawing around about it. He says at the very least, they may make a day trip down there.
Oldbitch, I mean, Oldbuck, has just told me, he has to think about it, which prolly means he has to get his paperwoork in order & make sure his boat is gonna be ready.
Also, the old ISL crapped out, but they have started it back up, you'll just have to re-register as they started from scratch.
You can find it here: http://theinsideline.org/forums/index.php
Greaser started a thread there yesterday about the Somerville deal....

I have to disagree with this based on where the event is being held. Yes the lower end of Lake Travis, from the event location towards the dam is rough due to the traffic and big boats. I do not generally go that way in my 18-ft jet, but go up river from there, and it is awesome for my boat and all of yours too. There are miles of lake and river and few boats in that direction, private coves with some long ones, cliffs, some soft shorelines, etc. There is also fuel on the lake right across from the event and one more spot about 10-miles up river. I go all the time just to cruise. From the event location, if you count both rivers up stream from here, there is an easy 40-miles of water. You would be mistaken if you did not attend due to the lakes big boat reputation. Those boats just generally stay down lake from this area. Dependant on weather, I will be taking a cruise out there ASAP. If I do, I will take a camera and snap a bunch of shots of what is out there. I will need help posting them, but surely you guys can help me out. All the more reason to get the boat wet.
I want to attend this thing too, but I am to be out of town that week. If I return as early as Saturday, I will be coming out just to meet those I can. I will likely register even though I do not know if I can make it. That's my plan. I hope to see you there.

I could not get out this weekend. Rain and cool temps put me off. I will be ready for Saturday or Sunday with a little help from the weather. I hope I can go this weekend, because I will be in the snow for 2 weekends following that. The forecast calls for 83 and 85 degrees Saturday and Sunday with 30% chance of storms both days. That should be good enough for me. All I have to do is set the valve lash and the boat will be ready.

My trip is on for the weekend to Travis. I will have camera in hand as well. I hope to get a bunch of good shots for you guys that will be new to the lake. I plan get it from the event's beach going up river to the end of usable river on both the Pedernales and Colorado River arms at current water levels. That's a lot of water as you will see.

About how far do you think the drive is from Austin to Cobo?

From Downtown it is an hour without traffic. If you are wondering how long as you drive in, when you exit from I-35, be it on 183, 620, or 1431, it will be a little less, barring traffic. The area where 183 and 1431 cross, is a cluster during rush hour so I would highly recommend you avoid it. Also, there is a bunch of construction around 620 and 183 so if you are coming in from the north, I would recommend 1431 from I-35 so as to avoid the mess.
If you do a search for Lago Vista, TX, that is the area of the event.

Moving down 281 and coming down 1431. Lago Vista is 30 miles from Marble Falls. Or you can come down 183 from lampasas.
I prefer the 281 route. I should be a wonderful scenic drive.

Ok, I believe the pics have been sent. I felt like I was pushing a rope.
By the way, when I took the pictures on Travis this weekend, the lake level was 17-feet below normal for reference on 3/5/06. That is no big deal on this lake. It goes up and down all the time.

We currently have about 145 people registered. Estimated attendance is 400.
All these people are associated with Jet/ Drag boating.
The lake travis power boating association has registered 1 boat. We estimate 20 boat-ins. A single day fee is going to cost $15.00 per person. This allows the boater to be in the same area as the event. Shirts, buffet and VIP room are extra.
Registered boaters get "all access".

Casa Lago has 3 rooms left. Everyone should be on the grounds for the event. Rooms or camping. I will probally pass out in the grass and awake in the morning.
We have our room with 6 models staying in it. It would be wise for me to pass out in the grass.
