Report: Drivers Sober
During Deadly Boating Accident
MOHAVE COUNTY - A report released by the Mohave County SheriffÂ’s Office concluded that the drivers of two boats involved in a deadly crash last summer were sober at the time of the accident.
MCSO says Shetal Walters from Ahwatukee and David Ramsey from California were both sober, but the report revealed that both were driving at an excessive rate of speed just before the accident that occurred just north of Lake Havasu City. The accident killed RamseyÂ’s father, critically injured two others and sent ten others overboard.
MCSO spokesman Trish Carter said it all comes down to inexperienced driving. “It’s a couple of factors. One is both [were] inexperienced boating operators, two being the speed at the time and they weren’t necessarily following the navigation rules.”
Carter added that the investigation is still open, and the Mohave County AttorneyÂ’s office is reviewing the report to determine if any charges will be filed.

See, they call it an accident. The person is still just as dead, but because the drivers were sober it takes on a whole different attitude. Unsafe speed? Of course, inexperienced operators?, Of course. Prosecution? Doubtful.....MP
