Everything under the sun. Used parts mis matched nuts and bolts everywhere and the list goes on. The motor was supposed to be brand new and over 85% of it was used.
I take it you have never dealt with Bill he is nothing but a used car salesman.
Hes the only boat builder I know that does not issue you the original statement of origion, just a copy.
He has great molds and they are proven performers,he just can't rig them worth a shit.
Ok I'm done!:) Leaving for the river.

I normally wouldn't say things like this, but.......
CP's are great hulls, but dealing with the "used car salesman" was very frustrating to say the least.:(
We argued about colors, pump, guages, you name it...and yes it came with some "used parts" instead of 100% new.
In the end, we re-rigged the entire boat before it ever hit the water. It's a great ride now but no thanks to the OEM.......
I wish I could end this by saying I'm off to the river......

nice boat!!!!!
Sorry to hear about bill. alot of peeps make him sound like gods gift:eek: I guess I'll never be a potential owner of a cp:eek:
Good luck on the sale. Why are you keeping the pump? I did the same thing with my Kachina and that is killing me on the sale. Now I am building another pump for it to make a sale.......

Bump for SKS
It's true; "Sooner or Later You'll Sell a Performance"
Good that you took the time to "De-Bill" it, should help the resale value. Great looking boat. You might want to call GS 951-272-6060 and give him the heads up. He always has people looking for GWs.

I don't know Mr. Smooth, I"ve known Scotten for just 10 years and I can say that this has happened before to other customers. Best bet is to buy the hull and have someone like So cal power rig it.
It is what it is. Great hull / and you can see Bill almost every Long Beach swap meet buying more parts. Not much to figure where they go.

I thought you meant something with the bottom not rigging. I had a 19 that shomaker built along with Alex Dimas I think(forgt his last name). The boat was scary fast..chicks digit..:D :D Went through the motor once, nice look on the V-Drive owners faces after the races.:D

I worked at GS when Alex's boat was rigged. I think we did most of rigging at GS and Alex did the engine and final assembly at his shop. Black and green boat; right? I remember it being very fast and Alex drove it hard.
Oh, and bump for SKS......surprised this hasn't sold yet.
Lastly, a little on BS........he is doing his part for the environment by recycling all that iron and aluminum
