This is my first post in here, so I'll keep it short.
I need to remove the belt from my procharger. It's on an otherwise-stock 454 MPI. I have loosened the tensioner, and it now appears that I need to either remove the pulley from the flywheel or remove the pulley from the pro charger. Is this right?

make sure you loosend all the bolts on your tentioner. it will not release unless you do. it should come off without removing the pully. let me know how you make out

502, thanks for the reply. I'm not totally lame :D I did loosen the tensioner completely, and actually have gotten the belt off of that; however, there is still way too much tension to even force the belt off of the two remaining pulleys (drive, and supercharger).
Is it possible that the Manufacturer put on a belt that was too small?

I did get it off the tensioner; however, I cannot get the belt off the procharger pulley/drive pulley (unless I cut it off).

Remove the blower pulley nut and washer. Place a small pry bar between the pulley and the blower housing and push the pulley off the shaft. The shaft will move slightly but will stop and the pulley will move foreward. Watch for the square keyway and don't loose it. To re-install the same belt you will have to reverse the process because the belt is too tight to stretch over the raised edge on the outside of the pulley. Should only take about 5 or 6 minutes to remove the pulley and belt. wink
