I will be in Sacramento the last week of Feb, first week in March. I'm looking for info on places to go, things to do. Looking at staying at Sherton Grand or Embassey Suites. Any other ideas for that area? Also looking for different places to eat and drink. Of course wondering if there are any boating type events going on in that area. Any input on stuff going on or must go places would be greatly appreciated.

I believe the two hotels I'm looking at are very close to there. Are there any one or two things that really stick that I should go to?

The Embassy Suites is actually in Old Sac. The Sheraton is about a mile away.

Looking for specific bars that are cool and any boating events/shows. What is your favorite bar and why?

The Sacramento Boat Show is in March and is a total waste unless you're into rollbar boats and Bayliners. As for the bar scene check out these sites. The best boating event is Bridge to Bridge in late July. Nothing else going on right now.

There's nothing to do in this town but drink and eat this time of year.
You could come over and help me prune my trees. http://www.***boat.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif
That's why they call it Cowtown.

So where are the best places to eat and drink? I can find a bunch of them, but which ones have really good food or a cool atomosphere? Best wings, prime rib, best selection of draft beer, best margerita(sp), ?

If you have a lady friend with you maybe consider taking a cruise on the Delta Queen for dinner. It's a good way to see a few miles of the Sac. River.
