We've had two blizzards in two weeks.
I got back from Brandon, MB last night. Temperature on the road was -34C. That does not include the wind chill. At one point, I got out of the car because I could hear so much wind howling, I thought one of the rear doors was adjar. It turned out, the door was fully closed... it was just that windy. It wasn't snowing but it was blowing so hard the blowing snow was cutting my face like a sand storm.
OK... it's -34C to call, -38C to raise.

Gee, that looks cold Hooli. I'll bet you guys put lined coveralls on when you go outside.
By the way, it warmed up here considerably this afternoon. Currently temp is -24C but it is expected to hit -40C by Sunday evening.

I lived with a woman for 10 yrs.. We used to take winter ski vacations in Vermont 2-3 times a winter. Did the whole bed and breakfast, hot tub, dinner out, we skied all over Vermont.
One time, actually the last time, we were at Stowe Vt. and it was wicked cold. At Stowe, when it gets really cold, they bang the snow/ice off the chairs as they come down and then put a wool blanket down for you to sit on. When it gets wicked cold, they put the blanket down and also give you a blanket for over your lap and chest.
So, we are riding up the lift and the wind is blowing the chair from side to side which is big time windy and it's about -10 or -15 or so....I get a shove to the ribs and the G/F leans over and says "for $500.00 more we could of gone to Costa Rico and be on the beach".
Needless to say, that was our last ski trip....
Be good, Jim

It's so cold that one of the drains froze at work. Now the guys have to use the office restrooms. Up front with the lady's. This should get ugly. I pushed a 3 foot drift over the drain pipe to insulate it some from the below zero temps. I'm hoping the ground temperature will thaw it from below. Does anyone have any other solutions?
