Actually........other than the price (way out of line) it looks like he did a pretty god job on it.
HP was stated to be 705 @ 6000 rpm. which could be possible. Claims to have dyno sheets. Could use some cleanup/trim work on the wires and hoses etc.
He's got the pump setup with a droop, hydraulic diverter, (no rideplate or shoe though).
Lightening headers cost a pretty penny (I'd like to have a set of those). Whoops almost missed the "custom exhaust manifolds". $5,000? Last I looked Lightenings were less than half that price (even considering the Ford to Chevy adaptor)
The gel looks to be in good shape (although not my first choice of colors).
Speed number is believable at 75 mph, considering the five people on board (if Hp numbers are true).
All he needs to do is knock about $14,000 - $15,000 off that $22,000 price tag and he should do o.k.
$50,000 invested?
I realize prices are probably higher in Pennsylvania, but that's pretty extreme.

That's what I want to buy. A core tested boat. If anybody wanted to drill holes in in my boats to test them, I'd "Send them to the moon, Alice". Thats what is done to yachts that sit in the water all the time. And is he telling a REAL story? Notice the other boat and maybe a jetski in the driveway. Sounds like a "ebay" story. BL

I'm sorry, but this boat just looks like someone ran wild with a CP Performance catalog, with no idea whatsoever on what the goal was with the finished product. $50k invested with a five-dollar steering wheel.... check it out.

This guy is on crack... 10000 is more like it and thats high for a jet boat in that year....I love my boat and want to get a lot of money when I seel it. but lets be real anything over 10k for a 1970s JET boat is nuts.

Well, I could not resist......I emailed the guy and politely told him he should seriously reconsider his asking price if he wanted to sell his boat. I invited him to come over here with his boat pics and ask some people what they think it is worth. You could buy two of those for what he wants.

Seems he had higher hopes for performance, than what he got, lots of work lots, lots of money, and paid out for it all. I think he changed hobbies, his recent purchases are for Harley parts, and memorabilia. If you busted up bad enough you can ride you boat, how you gonna ride a Harley? Same boat if you ask me

how fast should it go with a YJ energizer pump like it has? Big difference between a daytona and that isnt it? Looks like the guy did a nice job if you ask me. If he finds a fish god bless him. You can always go lower on your price. If it doesnt hit his reserve it cost him nothing. Reminds me why i just cant get the nerve to post pics with tough critics like yourselves.

motor is built by a professionall nhra motor builder
I don't know about you, but If I was trying to sell a boat with a motor that was built at $$$$$...I would tell you exactly who built it.
then again even if i was selling it for 5k... I would clean and polish every thing.

By the sticker on the newspaper box, it looks like the engine builder could be Jim Oddy.

I know how building a boat gets out of hand. I "Invested" over $50000 in mine and would be reaching to get 20000 for it with a blown injected chevy in it and a proven 100 mph with a bunch of pump mods. The best thing you can do with a boat is buy it, never open the engine hatch, run it for a season and sell it. then do it all again.

Just noticed the wire nuts on the fuel pump. That's some interesting trim work there.
Ya gotta wonder how much more of that type thing went on???
