Any chance of seeing some pictures? Does it come with a trailer? What motor marine wrap around gear would go with the boat?

Gotta go look, but I believe the T/P was last built in '67......and the last non-truck FE was a '68 428CJ. The 385 Series motors came along in '69.
I think. :D :D

You may be right! We got the engine out of the Mickey Thompson shop in Long Beach in 1969 when Mickey owned the funny car class with Danny Ongias (sic) as driver. Mickey was a family friend and my dad did the plumbing on the shop's 'Dyno's'. Motor runs strong and, as I said, has few hours.

The boat comes with a trailer. Motor wrap goes with the motor.

The old guy needs to correct you again:D:D FEs last used in pass. cars was 1970, and 76 in common truck use [79 in U-Haul trucks] 385 series came into production in 1968 for T-birds [429] and Lincolns [460], Galaxies in 1969, Torinos 1970, and Mustangs in 1971. Mustangs and Torinos had the 428 CJ from late 68 thru sometime in 1970, both FE and 385 CJs were built in 70. Tunnelport engines were never offically built by Ford as a complete engine but were, for the most part, over the counter parts, not to say that H/M or Stroppe didn't get them as complete assemblys from Ford just to say that the T/P engine was not offered in any car or as a complete engine to the common folk. The T/P head was first offered in 1967 and continued thru late 69 or early 70 when the Boss 429 took over NASCAR service.
