View Full Version : Lets Talk Tapered,Flat,Backcut Shoes

I have a slight idea about these but would like a little more info on the differences.....This is what Im understanding...
Backcut= heavier hulls that need tail lift
Flat= huge hp
Tapered=loads the pump harder
Any info is highly appreciated;)

Don't forget also about how large the shoe opening is. This is also a tuning device or adjustment. BL

Hmm i think i found the problem in my setup i am running a 2 degree backcut on a 360 lb tunnel with large HP.

That's because each of their boats are different. The best shoe is probably different for each of their applications.
You're asking a question that is so different for every boat that it is hard to generalize an answer for the masses. I would be glad to work with you on an individual basis and help you with your set up. 316-794-8616
