What are you guys paying on a 23 Shadow with a 496HO. No layup.
We have been wanting a cat, but insurance is just blowing us away. Are the decks any better?

I was also wondering what people are paying on the new 26 deck with an HO...and the 27 Shadow with the same motor....

Although our boat is an 06 we already want somthing bigger and better. The 23 is the same size but cooler...LOL. If we can fit the 26 in our current garage I would consider that.
We are going to keep our boat this season and start looking in the fall.

Its a 27. I would imagine the smaller boat would be less.

Top speed John M had Gps was around 76 I believe I read some where. I could be wrong. I do not have GPS, so my speedo is not accurate. As far as price, you better get one quick as they are becoming popular. My deal is no longer available due to I bought the third one built at a discounted price for a few gel flaws. :D :D
This is our first Cat/Deck and we could not be happier. Run's in creatable, turns nice and for an HO it is plenty fast. Just my .02

yea deck boats are sweet i have the lavey 28ft deck and its just a little to big anymore for me to take care of plus i have 620hp and im only running 68-70 and always worried about hurting the motor again which last time cost 12k to fix so dont like that over my head and want something warrantied that runs good.26 is probaly not that much smaller but im thinking the 23 is just going to be to small after running in boats 26ft + the last 10 years.going to hit jon up for a test ride in the 23 here in another month or so.

Wow, cheaper than I thought. Great.
I love the bigger boats but I think the biggest we could fit in our garage is a 26. We want to buy a house in Havasu with a big garage. I wouldn't want to leave the boat there all the time though. We like going to Mead (15min).
I think a 23 Shadow with 525 Power would be sick.

I am guessing you would see an honest 86-90. If the 496 mag runs 76, the HO would go 80-81, then 86-90 would be about right.

our 27 Shadow is just under $6k/year with a 5 month layup. be legit with your insurance. the last thing i think anyone would want is to have a claim rejected because they fibbed a little on horsepower or top speed.

John you guys prob won't be happy with a 23' ---just too damn small...
look into the 26' or 27'

insurance companies also look at HP vs length...sometimes its easier to insure a larger boat

Oh, I agree. I have always liked the 23' but when it comes down to it we will end up with a 25 or larger.
We decided to wait another yr anyways. Maybe in the fall I might order somthing.

Just got numbers for my 26 deck from StateFarm yesterday.
$800 a year for (valued the boat @ 110K, trailer @ $7500, and personal items at $7500). I also have an umbrella policy so that keep the price down. Also, FYI - StateFarm will not write anything with over 500hp.
