Posting this for my brother. This is the Biesemeyer flat he bought from Big Boy Toys, now sporting new paint, and soon to be drag raced by his wife Niki.
Step 1, the way it looked when he picked it up from Jim. http://www.pritek.net/bigboytoys/vboatside.jpg

BBT hope you find one. The Mrs. said 12500 and you can have it back. I sent my brother "DUCKY" back to cali a few weeks after I picked up your boat to get my hydro. I hope to have it done in 3 months or so and should run 8 sec. class. the paint would be a little more complex and we need to do alot of work on the floor.
I just hope my wife lets me drive the Biesemeyer from time to time.

I'm following you folks' lead....yep, we're getting another one and I'm going to teach the Mrs how to drive it. Should be fun.

In referance to a whirleaway, I had a motor lock up in my old DiMarco at 90+. It wasn't that bad w/o the whirleaway. I here ya guys about the getting wet thing. My last biesemeyer put my wife and I in the drink at about 85 in havasu 1 1/2 years ago. walked away a little sore but my wife broke 2 ribs and cracked a 3rd. still feel luck, 9 years of driving these boats and the firt time I got wet.
THE HYDRO WILL RUN IHBA PE I HOPE. WE WILL SEE HOW MUCH POWER WE GET OUT OF THE MOTOR AFTER IT IS BUILT.

There was a long thread on prop releases a while back and different lines of thought, but if you're not going to race it, it's your boat and your choice. But at the top of this thread didn't Ducky say that you were going to drag race it? Whatever the case, very nice piece and good luck. :D
I thought BBT had that boat set up to run with the SSRS. What happened to the prop release?

we are building a hydro to race and it has all the safety stuff in it, My wife would love to race in the boat as a PS if they get away from the capsule rule. If we do that is would have the prop release, as for now it is just a fast, fun lake boat.

I thought BBT had that boat set up to run with the SSRS. What happened to the prop release? Scott, I had the stuff ready to install for the whirlaway and was going to have it ready for Red Bluff in 2002, but, after fuming a little more over the APBA (and their stupidity) and the capsule BS, I sold it and never installed it. The motor that I included with the boat is a SS legal motor after changing the intake and ignition. So, technically, that boat, add a whirlaway, change the intake/carbs and ignition, and it's SS legal. The engine had maybe 25 hours or so on it.

And as a footnote....I am VERY close to purchasing another circle boat. I'll be setting it up for the lake right now....but...
We'll just see which direction the SSRS goes in relation to APBA before any more decisions are made wink I will tell ya this, I like circle racing FAR better than drags.
Keep me informed 126driver as to what's going on. Give a yell at Paul and have him email me once in a while to let me know what's going on with the SSRS....ya never know what can happen. Maybe racing a circle boat again soon? We'll see eek!

I hope there's changes. I've been around boat racing for some 25 years or so and have never seen an organization that is comparable to the SSRS. I would re-join the SSRS in a heartbeat if there were certain changes. And ya know, I think that the SSRS could survive as a separate organization, not sanctioned by APBA. The APBA needs the SSRS, but the SSRS don't need the APBA.
Like I say, we'll see what happens....

Why not build it and race it and if they go to capsule rule put it on the lake ? SSRS is a great program and there are alot of guys having a blast they dont seem to be to concerend about the capsule dilema . The non racers seem to have more of an issue with it than the racers do . Numbers on a Beismeyer dont make it a circle boat , I would call it a lake flat or a ski boat if i didnt race it just my 0.2

And, if I'm gonna build a boat to race(I agree, numbers on it don't make a race boat), it takes alot of time and $$ that I'm not gonna commit to something that I may or may not be able to race for 1 year. On the other hand, we have been looking at maybe running a circle boat in the NJBA brackets....and see what happens in 2004.
