hottrodder, Is it a marine 750? Or if anyone else is looking for an 830 CFM http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLine/Products/FMS/FMSC/0-9381.html I would like to trade for a marine 830 or 850 possibly.

There are several 800 cfm marine carbs. Does you model have vacuum or mech. secondaries. Double pumper?

Fired up, it's a DP (mech secs) dual feed center inlet fuel bowls with manual choke (it's all there but the choke plate in the airhorn). If you look on Holley's site under marine carbs, the part # is 0-9022.

Gnarley: No. It's not a marine carb. No choke, mech secondaries, double pumper.

LWB, you still have the 9022? How much you want for it and why are you selling it?

hottrodder, Sorry I don't want a non-marine carb, that is one of the reasons I am looking to trade or sell a real nice 9381, my engine should have a 0-80558 on it. Your 9379 is smaller than I want for a single carb on a blower. IF you want to buy it let me know.
Thanks,
Gnarley

A 1998 marine power 454 mag. 390hp at the crank. I had a 780 Holley single feed vac sec carb on it before. That carb did idle a little better but always ran rich despite many attempts to jet it properly. The best thing about the 9022 was much more out of the hole and mid range accel.
If anyone wants a 780 holley with a polished body, let me know. Its in good shape

RC thanks for the info,
I need some info to help choose the correct replacement for the damn carb on mine. The 9381 is a great carb, I'm just mad that I need to shell out 600 bones for a new one unless I can find a good trade.

gnarly, still have the 0-9022. It was new in oct. '98, last run july '01. it cost $460 then, i'd like $300. for $350 i'll throw in a Weiand STEALTH (bbc oval port) mani., a K&N arrestor, also a nice dual feed fuel line. i'd like to give "gstark" 1st shot at it, ok? (he already called on it and may try to get to me this weekend.) reason for replacing the carb...upgraded everything.
