That is it exactly.... The entertainment industry promoting the entertainment industry. Same thing with the Oscars. They are breaking each other's arms patting themselves on the back. There were dozens of new Escalades with Michigan Manufactures plates lined up at the Staples Center yesterday. You could tell they were loaner courtesy cars because they all had little Grammophone stickers on the backs and sides.

I was at the grammys yesterday during sound check.......only way to really watch it, lol. See all the performances without all the fluff in between. Carrie is much better looking in person. She does a nice eagles tribute/duet with rascal flatts but her solo song is a country oldie......a lil hooo hum to me. Just my .02

I usually can't stand most awards shows........BUT THE GRAMMY'S WERE OFF THE HOOK!!!!!
This was a great show exept for the Al Gore appearance. Exerybody rocked the house!!! Rascall Flats, Mary J, Dixie Chics, The Police, John Maher, John Legend, Chili Peppers, Knarles Barkley,...etc......everybody was the bomb.

Still don't give a rats butt cheek who won what. But while Diane (my wife) was watching it upstairs, I walked by and Gnarls Barkley was performing. I must admit they were pretty good, so I sat and watched their whole song.

I worked the show every year. I had a two hour window of free time to check out the boat show down the hall to get my hands on some Ultra swag.. What a lot of people don't know is that the real Grammys is held in the Convention Center next to the Staples center in large room without all the pomp and circumstance that the big show has. While the big show is giving awards to all the major acts, the Pre-telecast Grammys gives almost a hundred awards out to producers, musicians and directors not mentioned in the "Big show". It was pretty cool to see people behind the scenes being rewarded for their hard work.
