Kentucky Drag Boat Assc. new purse

For the 7,8,9,10 second classes the purse will be $200 per boat in the class. Classes will be limited to 32 boats. Think about it, a 16 boat field is not uncommon, so the purse would be $3200. It will be split 80%(2560) to first 20%(640) to second, 32 boats would double that.
The membership fee is $1. The registation will be $300. That may sound like a lot, but I pay $225 for an $1100 purse.

OK, is anybody going. I plan on the first race for sure. Looking for some 9 second boats to bring the count up. More boats mean more purse and more fun.

i`m planning on going. you`ll be 1 second quicker than i am.:o all the classes there are big time tough. you better be right on the number.

I'm planning to hit the Livermore race on Aug. 18 & 19.
Went last year, and it's a great spot to race, great people!

Ken, I like Livermore also. Do you know that this year it will be 1000' and not a points race? The purse will still be the $200 per boat. What class do you run?

I will try to make the first Kentucky race. 10 second runnerbottom. All depends on how I run at Poplar Bluff in late May.

I'm not sure what I'm going to be able to run...it's my first year.
I'm going to sign up in the 11 sec. class, and see from there.
Last year I spent the whole weekend driving the towtruck for LakesOnly , so didn't really get to see a lot of the races, but had a great time.

Leland, I'll thank you for that donation.lol I thought that picture of my boat you were showing around scared you guys off. You know I let you beat me at Charleston.LOL Looking forward to seeing you guys. Should be some good racing.
