Yea, the pic's are nice but the 9,000 rpm tattle tale took it's toll. Lost the head off of the exhaust valve. Pulled the head off when I got home and couldn't believe my luck. The valve head never touched the cylinder wall, combustion chamber or even the intake side of the piston. Then the crap hit the fan...found two cracks on the deck of the block, and when I finished disassembly and took everything to the machine shop found out I had a broke crank :mad:

Well that's not our fault...YOU SOLD YOUR SS! We had a bitchen meeting at the awards this year. We are getting everything in place so that if in deed APBA says capsule...We are ready to go out on our own. Either teaming up w/ some more IHBA events and Champboat events. This year will be a rough one with the new layout but I feel it will take the series in a better direction. Also, the SSRS will now become the SSRA. (association instead of series).

CBK what's happening. Had a great time w/ your grandpa and grandma at the banquet. We sat at the same table and drank and drank and drank and..well you get the picture.
Yea, Red Bluff was truly a blast. After I lit it one of the promoters came running over telling me they didn't have permission from the city to start the boats yet, so right after I shut it off someone else lit theirs and it was game on. That guy I'm sure got plenty of exercise that night.
Can't wait to get going again. Boats apart right now getting ready to roll it over and true up the bottom. Trying to get 2 bullets ready for the year and find the money to hit all the races.

The APBA just straight up pissed me off! I was reading the APBA Propellor Magazine and looks like the SS/PS/K up north are also gonna be heading towards the opposite direction of APBA and their ignorant capsule mandate. That capsule crap is why I sold my boat..... But, I'll be back if the SSRS (SSRA?) dumps APBA. Until then, I'm just gonna build me a Biesemeyer for the lake...... But, now you do have me wondering. I was gonna put a Blown motor in the new Biesemeyer but now maybe I'll build another SS legal motor? Hmmmm

No .. the only Video guy I have been associated with is Bruce F. of Lucky Duck Productions. He did NJBA thru the 80s and early 90. He did some cirlces. I have one favorite video of a match race between two boats. Dave R. in a K-Boat vs a Champ boat at Long Beach. The reason I asked about Parker in '96 is because I ran that race. I was in 4th in the second heat with Jesse S. in 3rd when he crashed. I have not raced at Parker since. This April will be the first time I will drive at Parker since then. I was going to ask if the glare from the sun is still bad in the afternoon in April as it is Thanksgiving?

As for the glare, it's been even longer than that since I've raced there in April. But I'm sure if your pushing daylight hours the glare will be there. When in April is that race? I believe the SS's are working on being at Pheonix w/ the drag boats in April for the opener I think it's the 18th-20th. Your always welcome to come race w/ us.

I used to do well there, I think because my boat is better than most in rough water. Haven't been there in 6 years. I'll give Paul W. a call on the schedule.
