Well i just purchased my first tunnel, 21 daytona with an outboard. I took it out for the first time this past weekend. WOW is rides and drives like nothing I have been on before, now my questions, whats the fastes way to run this thing, I am used to trim up and the less boat n the water the better. Any points on driving my tunnnel is appreciated.
Thanks

Take some time to get use to the ride of the boat. As im sure you noticed its alot different from a V or a flatty. Learn how to handle chop and boat swells coming at you. Once your comfortable and want to get the max out of your new toy, youll want to play with different props and motor height. Good luck and congrats!

Which 21 Daytona did you buy? That is a great hull and can really handle some chop for it's size. Boy I miss my 21...:(

I owned a 21 daytona for 8 years and that was a damn fun boat.... it's pretty hard to go wrong with that boat.... I think the "wakes" are the only thing to fear.....drive slow and pace yourself....(the best you can) good luck and welcome to the boards!:D

With twins, YES. With a single, it's actually a blast to make turns.

trim her flat and yank the wheel as hard as you can....it will track, I think.
guess I should add more.... The wetter the boat, the slower you go, but more control..
The dryer the boat, the less control, and faster you go
Straight flat runs; run it high and dry.....
Side chop/swells; little wet..be careful.
Those boats are fun as hell to drive

1.- Dont drink Roadrapers before starting boat...
2.- Put a 40 horse Merc on it...you will be fine at 25 mph.
3.- Last but not least, get rid of the pink stripe, it will ride much better that way.
Have fun with the new ride Dicky, see ya in parker!
