Russ Wicks??

anyone heard of this guy. he is supposed to be going for the world water speed record with a reality tv show aound his boat racing

Although Russ Wicks has had some great acheivements, I have not seen much progress in a few years on his WSR attempt. Maybe someone knows more.
The Land Speed Record has heated up, as the team from Washington is planning on going for 800mph this year. Go to Landspeed.com for more info. Great people and a great story of taking a Lockheed F-104 Starfighter chase plane from the X-15 days and turning it into a real hot rod.
Another project in the works that will challenge the Brits record is Steve Fossett, who bought Craig Breedlove's car from '97 and has big financial backing. The project is based in Reno and the attempt is planned for this year.
