Thats no bullshit!!! I have moved the carpet guys back 3 times already, and they are coming in on Friday am. The corners are just now getting mudded in. I had to hire a couple of guys to sling mud, tape, corner and sand and be done by Thurs eve. I can texture over the new carpet wiout F'ing it up

just did all this shiat for my boss at his rental home, its kinda messy but easy enough to do, rent a good hopper and do it yourself if you have time, save that dough for the good shiat in the rooms....

I want the walls to have a very smooth finish. Not a rough texture at all,but almost glass smooth.

I just finished floating out some heavy knockdown textured walls to slick wall my self. 1 bedroom 15 gallons of mud. I did it my self because it is my own house and I am saving every dollar to put back into this project. "cheap bastard" Lets just say that I know why I use subs for this on my customers houses. I spent way to much time on this and in my opinion it really was not worth my time. the good news is it only cost $70.00 in material. either way have fun and if you do it yourself rent a porter cable sander from depot. get the mud built up sand it down repeat process several times then prime it with some cheap ass primer to lock up the mud and float with topping to make it perfect
