View Full Version : Stranded in Bermuda!

My wife and I were part of a group that JetBlue decided didn't need to get a ride home after the Ice Storm in JFK last week.
It was a company retreat for her work in Bermuda, and as much as we didn't mind the additional few days on a beautiful island, we were disturbed nonetheless at the situation. This especially after hearing word that some people weren't so fortunate as us and were being left in planes for hours, or stranded at airports for days! At least we were in a nice place!
We eventually had to book flights through Delta 3 days later.
This post is to say to you fellow HB travelers that I agree with the recent talks of a Passenger Bill of Rights. Although I work closely in the industry and with the FAA, the FAA regs don't really take effect until the plane leaves the ground, and in any situation, nobody should be put in a position where they are stuck on a plane for 10 hours with no food, water, power or heat.
